Safe, Comfortable, Therapeutic Spaces
Our homes are the heart of Stourhead Healthcare — places where young people feel safe, valued, and cared for.
Designed to feel like family environments, our homes provide high-quality, fully furnished spaces with a welcoming, homely atmosphere. Each house has been carefully adapted to meet the emotional and developmental needs of the children who live there.
🛋️ Key Features of Our Homes:
- Comfortable bedrooms personalised for each child
- Spacious communal lounges and dining areas
- Fully equipped kitchens for shared mealtimes and life skills learning
- Private gardens and outdoor spaces for recreation and reflection
- Quiet spaces for one-to-one work or relaxation

🧸 Therapeutic Environment
We embed therapeutic principles into the environment itself.
Homes are designed with:
- Calm colour schemes
- Positive, uplifting decorations
- Personalisation of spaces to reflect each child's identity
- Access to sensory tools, therapeutic activities, and emotional regulation resources
We create routines and structures that feel safe yet flexible, balancing clear boundaries with opportunities for autonomy and growth.
🌍 Community and Belonging
We believe strongly in helping children feel part of their local communities.
Where appropriate, our homes actively encourage young people to engage in:
- Local clubs and sports teams
- Volunteering and community activities
- Vocational training and employment preparation programs
Our goal is not just to provide a place to live — but a foundation for belonging, identity, and ambition.
1 Stanton Mews
Stanton Mews is located in Stanton-By-Dale, a picturesque village in Derbyshire. It is a spacious 3-bedroomed house with a private garden and off-road parking.
The house provides a high level of care for one child/young person between the ages of 10 and 18 years of age. Stanton Mews can provide medium-term and long-term placements to a child/young person of either sex who has been subject to neglect, trauma, and abuse, and will require support to manage (and/or cope with) emotional behavioural difficulties. Stanton Mews will ensure that placements are planned to ensure a smooth transition for the young people coming to our service.
The provision of care will be in a solo placement.
